Nunhead Library closed its doors for refurbishment last week and is expected to re-open early December, writes Kirsty Purnell…
Improvements will include interior redecoration, a new carpet, increased study space, improved book display, a relaxed seating area for Wi-Fi users and self-service technology.
Cllr Johnson Situ, cabinet member for business, employment and culture said: “In Nunhead, we are making some improvements to refresh and modernise the library that mean it will have to be closed for a few weeks, but the library will re-open soon.”
In the meantime, residents can use any other of the borough’s libraries. The nearest library for Nunhead residents is Peckham Library, 122 Peckham Hill Street, SE15 5JR.
