Residents can take a look at plans to transform the Ledbury Estate garages into the Livesey Exchange, this Saturday.
An Open Day will be held from 1pm to 4pm to showcase plans to turn 60 vacant garages into a “vital community resource”, as part of Southwark Council’s Old Kent Road regeneration.
The main entrance from Old Kent Road will include a multi-functional space and café. Surrounding the internal courtyard, are plans for workshops, a training kitchen, and links to sports pitches.
Organisers of the Livesey Exchange project are looking for residents’ feedback on the plans, which have so far won funding from the Mayor of London and support from the council.
Visitors are asked to enter via the Bird in Bush Road approach to the Ledbury Estate.
