Pavements across Southwark are being widened to help with social distancing – and the council is asking residents to send in more street names for consideration.

Work is currently taking place in East Dulwich’s Cheltenham Road; Camberwell’s Denmark Hill and Artichoke Place and Bankside’s Sumner Street.

So far, Southwark Council has received more than 1,500 suggestions via its online consultation.

Judith says:

Cheltenham Road is in Nunhead, and the work was planned and consulted on before Covid 19 appeared. Still good that it is happening though.
