Two Peckham men have been charged with possessing a knife following an investigation into a stabbing in Kent
Officers were called to reports that a man had been assaulted by a group of men in Canterbury Lane shortly before 10pm on Saturday April 9.
The victim was found with a stab wound and then taken to the hospital where he was later discharged.
As a part of the investigation, officers then stopped two men who were travelling on a train through Ashford.
A knife was seized.
Troy Reid, 19, of Bellenden Road, Peckham and Ramone Thompson, 22, of Peckham Rye, have been charged with possession of a bladed article.
Reid faces an extra charge of possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
Both men appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 April 2022 and were remanded in custody.
The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 9 May.
Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for witnesses who saw the incident or have any information.
