A woman was arrested at Notting Hill Carnival after slapping a Peckham police officer’s bum.
Inspector Owen Pyle, from Peckham police, took to twitter to share his outrage that the woman thought it was acceptable to ‘sexually assault’ him on the job.

His tweet quickly went viral and has now been shared nearly 500 times and liked by more than two thousand people.
But not everyone was supportive – with some commentators saying he over-reacted, while others praised him for taking a stand against harassment and double standards.
I am glad there was an arrest, if this happened to a female officer it seems to make tabloid news, but when it happens to a male they should accept it. But you shouldn't. Good on you for the arrest, hopefully it will set an example. #askmebeforeyouslapmyarse
