A teenager was arrested for being in possession of a loaded gun on Thursday afternoon last week.
The seventeen-year-old was stopped by police in Pomeroy Street at 5.30pm on the intelligence of officers from the Trident anti-gangs unit.
The suspect tried to run away but he was detained by officers, who found a loaded Walther .765 handgun in his possession.
He was arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition and held in custody at a south London police station.
