Officers are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop collision in Norwood on Friday evening, which has left a woman critically injured.
Police were called at 19:15pm on Friday, 27 July to reports of a collision involving a car and pedestrian on Hamlet Road near the junction with Maberley Road, SE19.
The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene and work continues to locate the driver and the vehicle.
London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended and the pedestrian, a 28-year-old woman, was taken to a south London hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision occur, or who may have dash cam or mobile phone footage of the incident.

Road closures were put in place while the scene was dealt with; the road was reopened at approximately 01:30am the following morning.
No arrests; enquiries continue.
