The primary school application deadline will pass this Friday, with parents being strongly advised to do their homework and submit their applications in good time.
Councillor Victoria Mills, Southwark Council Cabinet Member for Education and Schools, said: “It’s an exciting time for many families in Southwark as they think ahead to their children starting school in September.
“The application process is easy, but for children to have a fair chance of securing a place at one of their preferred schools, parents must apply before the deadline. If you haven’t submitted your application already, I would strongly advise you to look at our website today rather than leaving it until the last minute. You may need a few days to gather the document required to process your application.”
Southwark families are able to apply online by visiting www.southwark.gov.uk school admissions and are encouraged to apply for up to six schools, in order of preference. Schools may be located either in Southwark or any other borough.
