When the residents of the Sceaux Gardens Estate in Camberwell asked for better signs to give direction around the estate, they got more than they bargained for.
A huge sign by artist Mark Titchner now adorns the Tenants’ and Residents’ Association Hall reading ‘Our work is today together’.
The Signs Project, paid for by a Southwark Cleaner, Greaner Safer grant, has also seen the estate fitted with new maps and outdoor notice boards.
John McGrath, Chair of the Sceaux Gardens Tenants and Residents Association said; “When you look at the front of the hall it’s great. I like looking forward rather than backwards, and this work is definitely new. When people come into the hall they all say that they love Mark’s work, it has definitely become something to talk about when people come in.”
