St Thomas the Apostle’s preliminary results show it could be within the top five schools in the country for this year’s GCSE results.
The school says its preliminary progress eight figure of +1.27 indicates it could be a top ranking school for 2018.
Teachers says the fantastic grades are ‘no flash in the pan’ for the Peckham-based college which won the coveted TES Secondary School of the Year Award in 2017.
Head teacher Mr Connolly said: “An amazing set of results!
“I am proud of the achievements of each and every one of the boys.
“I have always said the boys are our greatest asset and, yet again, they have shown this to be true.
“These results are a culmination of years of hard work.
“They have definitely set a standard for which other years can aim for.
“Well done to all the students, parents and teachers for living up to our motto of always striving for excellence.”
