There may not have been any snow but Bermondsey was feeling decidedly festive last weekend at the annual Blue Christmas event.
The shindig took place at the Blue Market square on Sunday in Southwark Park Road, and saw a crowd gather during the afternoon to celebrate the holiday season fun.
Revellers enjoyed Irish dancing, an ice rink, live music, food and drink, face painting and a Santa’s Grotto, where the man of the season made a special appearance.
Those brave enough also took on the “rodeo reindeer”, which took its fair share of Yuletide victims throughout the day.
The event was hosted by the Bermondsey Blue BID, who hope that it will act as inspiration for a more regular weekend throughout the year.
