A charity shop has donated £700 to a scheme that helps keep pensioners fit.
Up Market, who are located at Albion Street, made the donation to Time and Talents, another Rotherhithe charity that runs a ‘Get Active’ campaign.
Their programme consists of a series of physical exercises, including chair-based activities, tai chi and dance.
“The impact in terms of health and well being on older people from exercise is well established,” said a spokesperson, who added that that participants benefit from increased sense of well being and improved confidence.
