A man was taken to hospital today (November 11) after a ‘hit and run’ incident with a car in Rotherhithe.
The incident took place near Nisa on Brunel Road at about 2pm. The man’s life is not in danger. Police said the car driver did not stop and they are trying to find them.
A spokepserson for the Met said: “Police were called at 13:59hrs on Thursday, 11 November to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a car on Brunel Road, Southwark.
“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. A man was taken to a local hospital; his injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.
“The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene and enquiries are underway to trace them.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 3818/11NOV.
“Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
