Plans to build flats and commercial space on the site of the former Clipper Pub have been given the go ahead.
The empty two-storey boozer, in Rotherhithe Street, will be demolished to make way for a four-storey building with commercial use for either a shop or financial/professional service at ground floor and basement level.
Six two-bedroom flats will also be built on the first, second and third floors.
The proposal, put forward by Lighthall Homes and Norton Mayfield Architects, was given the go ahead at a planning committee last Tuesday (Oct 3) subject to a number of conditions.
