Sleigh bells will be jingling in Herne Hill this weekend at the annual Christmas fair.
The merry event will take on Saturday December 5, with the festive fun running from 11am until 4pm.
The extravaganza will feature musical entertainment, including live reggae and a “hillbilly” performance, complete with haystacks and mulled wine.
As part of the annual Small Business Day, there will also be 80 market stalls featuring products from local businesses along Half Moon Lane, Norwood Road and Station Square. There will also be festive workshops and a Santa’s Grotto, where wide-eyed youngsters can meet the big man himself.
Giles Gibson, chair of the Herne Hill Forum, said: “Once again Herne Hill is pulling out all the stops to make this a truly fun, festive day and support our local businesses. “Whether it’s making Christmas decorations, browsing quirky stalls, or just have a glass of mulled wine, there’s something for everyone, please come on down and join in.”
