A Southwark Police Community Support Officer has been awarded ‘Police Staff of the Year’ at the annual Met Excellence Awards.
PCSO Christopher Hopwood, from Central South Basic Command Unit, received the accolade at last week’s virtual award ceremony on Monday, November 23.
The awards celebrate the best police work across London. Those in attendance included special guest presenters Stephen Fry, Sadiq Khan and TV personality and criminal barrister Robert Rinder.
Commissioner Cressida Dick said: “The awards celebrate the extraordinary work of our people, who day in, day out, work incredibly hard, protecting and serving the people of London.”
