Southwark residents celebrated St George’s Day in style this year.
Kirby Estate residents, in Bermondsey, once again decked out the entire estate with a hundred England flags to mark the occasion.
And punters at the Good Intent, in East Street Walworth, also got involved to celebrate England’s patron saint on Sunday, April 23.
Borough Market and St George the Martyr Church also marked the occasion with a myriad of events.
Borough Market will hosted a festival of food, music, storytelling and theatre on Sunday, with a visit from the market’s Catalonian friends to mark the day.
And St George the Martyr had a week-long catalogue of events, including live music and poetry performances, a photo exhibition, a dragon hunt, and a patronal festival service.
