String of Southwark locals charged with drug offences after police raids

Locals from Bankside, Peckham and other Southwark locations have been charged with drug offences

A string of Southwark locals have been charged with drug offences following a series of raids by Scotland Yard.

In total, 28 people across south London have been charged after the two days of search warrants.

Thirteen were arrested and charged on Wednesday, September 25, and appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates the following day.

Among those from Southwark are:

  • A 17-year-old male of Southwark was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine).
  • Kain Martindale, 19, of Brook Drive, SE11, was charged with eight counts of supplying a Class A drug (namely crack and heroin).
  • Dominic Palmer, 19, of Kennington Park Road, SE11 was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine).

Alongside the others charged, their cases have been committed to Inner London Crown Court to be heard at a later date.

The remaining fifteen people were arrested and charged on Thursday, September 26, and were due to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates the following day.

Among those from Southwark include:

  • Joshua Jacques, 25, of Blackfriars Road, SE1, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
  • Mohammed Muse, 29, of Blackfriars Road, SE1, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, and possession of cannabis.
  • Elson Tavares, 21, of Doddington Grove, SE17, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
  • John Dadzie, 50, of Stamford Street, SE1, was charged with four counts of supplying Class A drugs.
  • Shane Taylor, 18, of Kincaid Road, SE15, was charged with two counts of supplying Class A drugs.
  • Kebba Sonko, 48, of King James Street, SE1, was charged with two counts of conspiracy of supply Class A drugs.
  • Keran Hines, 18, of Blackfriars Road, SE1, was charged with two counts of conspiracy of supply Class A drugs.
  • Elijah Derrivere-Jacques, 23, of Inville Road, SE17, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
