A teenage woman was stabbed on Kennington’s Cooks Road on Sunday, a week after Rhyhiem Barton’s fatal shooting on the same street.

Police confirmed officers were called by the London Ambulance Service at 02:50hrs on Sunday, 13 May, to reports of a stabbing on Cooks Road, SE17.

Officers and paramedics attending the scene found an 18-year-old woman suffering from a slash injury, who was taken to a south London hospital with injuries described as “non life-threatening or life-changing”.

The attack comes just eight days after Rhyhiem Ainsworth Barton, aged seventeen, was found with a gunshot injury on Warham Street on Saturday, May 5.

There is no indication the two incidents are related.
