A 17-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital after he was shot in West Dulwich on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called at 3pm to South Croxted Road, having being alerted by the London Ambulance Service.
On arrival they found the teenager with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was treated by paramedics in South Croxted Road before being taken to a South London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Police say it appears he was shot in the vicinity of Seely Drive, SE21, before he rode a short distance on his moped.
No arrests have been made as yet and a police spokesperson confirmed that “enquiries continue into the circumstances of the incident and any possible motive.”
South Croxted Road was closed remained closed all day Tuesday.
