Thousands united at Great Get Together events across the borough to celebrate the life of Jo Cox.
Events were held across Southwark on Saturday, including at Bermondsey Spa, Bankside and East Dulwich, to honour the late Labour MP, who died a year ago.
Communities came together for picnics and fun days in parks, street parties, tea parties, and concerts across the country to remember Mrs Cox, who was fatally shot and stabbed in Birstall in her Yorkshire constituency of Batley and Spen on June 16 last year.
The Great Get Together was organised by the 41-year-old mother’s family and centres on her maiden speech in Parliament, in which she said “we have more in common than that which divides us”.
