The owners of part of the old Peek Freans biscuit factory are “taking all necessary steps to secure a possession order” to evict travellers who have moved in, as a “matter of urgency”.
Last Friday fifteen caravans entered the car park of Block F, owned by Grosvenor, on Clements Road before 10pm next to Team Sport Go Karting.
Tony O’Reilly, from Grosvenor, said that they had made contact with Southwark Council over the issue and that “security has been increased and police are monitoring the situation”.
He added: “If any members of the community have any questions or concerns, please contact me, tony.oreilly@grosvenor.com and 020 7312 6192, and if you have any immediate safety concerns, please contact the police.”
