Two men have been charged with murder off 22-year-old Lavaun Witter, from Peckham.
Twenty-year-old Tyreece Riggon, of Armistice Gardens, South Norwood and Julian Russell, 22, of Sanfield Road, Croydon were arrested yesterday, Thursday, 18 February.
Riggon and Russell have been remanded in custody and will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Saturday, 20 February, on charges of the murder of Lavaun Witter, plus the wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm of a 16-year-old male and possession of a bladed article.
Police were called to a residential address in Wisbeach Road, SE25, at approximately 9.10pm on Friday, 5 February and found Lavaun suffering from a stab injury. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 16-year-old male was stabbed during the same incident and was taken to hospital where his injuries were found to be non-life threatening.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the events of that evening. They believe further suspects may still be outstanding and continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone who has information that could help their investigation to come forward.
