There are two weeks left to send us your nominations for the next Southwark Blue Plaque.
The Blue Plaques scheme – run by Southwark Heritage in association with the News and Southwark Council – has become the borough’s way of commemorating the great people and places that have resided here.
More than 50 plaques are dotted throughout the borough, dedicated to the likes of Michael Caine, Henry Cooper and Sam King.
To make a nomination by the June 1 deadline, send the name of your nominee and an explanation to owen@southwarknews.co.uk.
The two most-recent recipients of Blue Plaques were Surrey Docks Farm, and St Giles’ Church medieval doorway.
