A man has been arrested on suspicion of child abducted after two teenage girls who went missing have been found in south London.
The 18-year-old suspect was taken into custody after the girls were tracked down eight days after vanishing.
Alliyah Montaque, 15, and Lina Bennacef, 16, disappeared from their home in Walthamstow, northeast London, last Wednesday (April 13).
Police described their disappearance as out of character, but yesterday (April 21) confirmed that they have been found and are safe now with their families.
A Scotland Yard press release said: “We can update you that following a police operation in Croydon this afternoon, the girls were located. They are safe and their families have been informed of the development.
