A lorry collided with a railway bridge at Tulse Hill this morning bringing travel misery to commuters across London and the south-east.
Emergency services were at the scene where the container had been unable to pass under a low bridge.
Trains on the Thameslink line, and Southern services from London Bridge to Beckenham were cancelled – with disruptions expected until midday.
Buses were also diverted and motorists advised to avoid the Dulwich and Tulse Hill areas – including the South Circular – due to severe delays.
No one was injured during the incident.
