Two people were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a Borough hotel this afternoon.
Four engines and around 25 firefighters were called to the hotel on Great Dover Street at 1.26pm on Friday, November 1.
The fire was under control and hour later after crews from Dockhead, Peckham, Soho and Dowgate tackled the blaze.
The brigade says half a room on the first floor of the three-storey building was damaged.
One man had left the room by the time the brigade arrived. He and a woman were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by paramedics.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
