A woman has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after allegedly assaulting another woman on Rotherhithe New Road on Friday.
The News received a report at around 5.30pm on Friday, August 31, of paramedics and police officers on the south Bermondsey road.
A witness said a woman was lying on the ground and appeared to be receiving treatment.
One of the women involved has now been arrested and bailed until late September.
A Met spokesperson confirmed: “Police were called at approximately 17:03hrs to reports of an assault on Rotherhithe new road, SE16.
“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.
“The two females involved were attended to by paramedics, they did not require hospital treatment.
“A 33-year-old woman was arrested shortly after on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).
“She has subsequently been bailed to return to a date in late September.
“Enquiries continue.”
