King’s staff enjoyed their first taste of food from Uzbekistan this month.
Southwark-based Street food trader Muzaffar Sadykov makes and sells the traditional rice dish plov – also known as pilau or pilaf – which can be served with slow cooked lamb or vegetables, with onion garlic and herbs.
Last week he donated 25 portions to King’s and 25 Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals.
He and the team have also delivered 550 free portions to students studying at home across London.
