Camberwell New Cemetery’s main gates will be open tomorrow so people can pay their respects on the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
Although the cemetery is currently closed during the week due to the number of funerals taking place and social distancing rules, Southwark Council has made an exception for the landmark date.
Friday, May 8, marks the anniversary of the Allies’ victory in Europe.
Across the country people are celebrating the anniversary in style on the moved Bank Holiday, and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom today.
