Nunhead’s Elvis was so delighted to appear in last week’s Southwark News that he’s been taking his copy on tour.
The Lock ‘n’ Roll King has been entertaining residents from Buchan Road TRA every Thursday during Clap for Carers.
He’s now taking requests and collecting for Nunhead Knocks – with all funds going directly to the community group’s support for vulnerable people during the COVID-19 crisis.
Last week he was performing in nearby Gordon Road and raised £89.45.
Elsewhere Southwark’s community spirit has also been out in full force.
On week six of the lockdown, Brunswick Park Primary is still open for children whose parents are keyworker who are missing their other friends.
As well as thanking the NHS and other frontline workers, they’ve put up this sweet message outside the school on Picton Street.
