A pair of armed thugs reportedly tried to steal a man’s motorbike, with videos posted online showing onlookers aghast.
A video shows the pillion-riding pair circling the alleged victim, who runs away clutching a knife, which had reportedly been dropped by the two men on the moped.

Members of the public then appear to help the alleged victim retrieve his motorbike, which led on the floor in the road.

Police were called to London Road, Elephant and Castle shortly after 6pm yesterday (Saturday 23 April), responding to reports of an altercation.
By the time officers had arrived, those involved had fled on mopeds.
A machete was recovered.
There are no reports of any injuries and enquiries are ongoing.
