The Walworth Road is now fully open in both directions, Transport for London have confirmed.
A215 Walworth Road has reopened fully in both directions between Elephant & Castle and Elephant Road following the earlier collision.

A section of the Walworth Road from Elephant and Castle station to Elephant Road had been closed this morning after a serious collision.
Transport for London tweeted images from shortly after 5am this morning showing emergency services at the scene on the A215 Walworth Road, with both lanes closed.

The South-bound lane is still closed due to a fallen lamp post, but the other lane has now re-opened.

TfL says the road may remain closed “for some time”, with pictures showing a severely damaged vehicle on the pavement.
