Bankside Open Spaces Trust is offering a summer full of sports and fun for free from until August 30th, writes Hillary Chaisson…
“The goal of our sports camp is to ensure that we have qualified coaches on site throughout the summer offering free coaching in a variety of sports,” Jack Harrison, sport development manger for Bankside Open Spaces Trust, said.
Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) is teaming up with South Bank University’s Academy of Sport, Street League, Active Communities Network, and the Surrey Cricket Foundation to make this happen.
BOST will provide free activities in Marlborough Sports Garden located at 27 Union St, London SE1 1SD.
Marlborough has a 3G five-a-side football pitch, a beach volleyball court, as well as facilities for netball, short tennis, basketball, and table tennis for starters.
Jack said that the foundation for this resides in BOST’s vision to “develop the love of sports and proficiency in at lest three different sports by the age of 10”
On Fridays, there is also a session with Street League 12-24 years-old to hone their football skills.
