A woman has died after being hit by a train at Canada Water station in the early hours of this morning, (November 22.)
The emergency services were called to the station shortly after 12.30am to reports of the woman being struck by the train.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, the woman could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman has not yet been named by the authorities.
Her family have been informed, a British Transport Police spokesman told the News.
The BTP spokesperson added: “This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
