DULWICH HAMLET secured a significant victory at Champion Hill on Saturday as substitute Decarrey Sheriff’s goal proved to be the match-winner against Welling United.
Sheriff pounced to make it 2-0 with four minutes left and ensure Bradley Goldberg’s 89th-minute goal was just a consolation.
Nathan Green gave Gavin Rose’s side a fourteenth-minute lead in front of 2,353 fans in Dulwich.
It was Hamlet’s first win in eight league games since Boxing Day, and lifted them to seventeenth in National League South, eight points above the drop zone.
Hamlet host Hemel Hempstead next Saturday.
