Boss Dean Harrison felt Fisher were the better side despite their 3-0 defeat to Bearsted last weekend that leaves them bottom of the SCEFL Premier Division table. Michael Holliday, Matt Garner and Tom Bridges did the damage for Bearsted as Fisher couldn’t build on their 1-0 win over Croydon the week before.
“We were the better side for sure,” Harrison said. “We got into good areas throughout the game, but just couldn’t finish. Every week we come in at half-time saying, ‘We need to take our chances’. Sometimes you get away with it, sometimes you don’t.”
“We’ll play worse than that and win games but we need to start putting the ball in the back of the net more regularly.” Fisher’s next two games are away from home before the meeting with fellow relegation strugglers Lordswood FC at St Paul’s on March 18.
