DOCKLANDS UNDER-10s overcame a strong Blackheath Wanderers team last weekend, grinding out a 2-1 win.
Both goals were scored by captain Jimmy Stump, the first after just thirteen seconds, and the second a minute from the end after a clever corner from Keidi Xhika.
Goalkeeper Vincent Sammland and defenders Teddy Whitney and Charlie Howarth were outstanding, keeping Blackheath at bay, with Howarth man of the match. Docklands under-8s where in cup action against Dulwich United Black and Teviot Rangers.
The youngsters narrowly lost 2-1 in their first game to a late goal and drew the second 2-2, with goals from Harry Edney, Jack Pinnell and Lenny Davis. Man of the match was captain Harry Edney.
FISHER UNDER-8s were also in cup competition but lost 1-0 to Hayden Youth and 5-1 to Mighty Royals Galaxy Elite with Lennie Kavanagh on target.
Fishers under-7s won 2-0 in their first game against Long Lane Tigers thanks to AJ Sinclair and Mason Mulholland goals. In the second game they cruised into a 3-0 lead after two Tommy Burridge strikes and one from Dominic Kamara.
However, they conceded twice before half-time to give their opponents hope, and the momentum had swung as they conceded twice more to go down 4-3 in a thriller.
