MILLWALL CAPTAIN Ashlee Hincks has been named Women’s Super League 2 player of the month for October.
Hincks scored three league goals during the month, including a last-minute strike against Doncaster Belles and efforts against Brighton and Hove Albion and London Bees, as Millwall maintained their unbeaten league run this campaign.
Hincks said: “I’m more pleased with my all-round performance as well as the goals as they also have been a massive help in games.
“Our relationship between staff and players is really tight.
I think as a group we are a real collective, we’re not just a one-man band as such. I think we’ve all pulled together and we’re all pulling in the same direction which is why things are going the way they are on the pitch and we’re finally getting the plaudits we deserve for a long time I think.”
The Lionesses are not back in competitive action until their Continental Tyres Cup clash with Reading at St Paul’s in Rotherhithe on December 3.
