Millwall Lionesses suffered a 9-1 defeat against a powerful Fulham in their London & South East Regional Premier Division game last weekend.
Hat-tricks from Helen Ogle and Georgia Heasman, a brace from Kate Foster and a goal from Oana Negrea sealed an emphatic victory for the hosts.
Alyssa Miranda scored Millwall’s goal four minutes from time.
It was the Lionesses’ first league defeat under Jack Wheeler, and a first in seven games.
Foster put Fulham ahead in the first minute and the home side doubled their lead nine minutes later when Heasman fired in the rebound after Negrea’s effort.
It was 3-0 in the fifteenth minute as Negrea shot past Chrissie Wiggins from 20 yards and the Cottagers had a fourth two minutes later through Foster.
Millwall tried to respond but Chloe Burr sent a free-kick over the crossbar 30 minutes in.
Fulham extended their lead to 5-0 in the 31st minute through Ogle.
Wheeler’s side were having no luck as a minute before the break they got a rare chance but Lottie Ivison’s attempt hit the post.
Millwall’s first-half misery wasn’t yet over as two minutes into added-time Taylor set up Heasman for the sixth.
Heasman played in Ogle for the seventh five minutes into the second half before defender Becky Stormer made a block to deny the visitors.
Heaseman completed her hat-trick when she fired past Burr – who had gone in goal at half-time – with ten minutes left.
Ogle also had her treble after being set up by Ellie Olds in the 85th minute before Miranda’s consolation late on.
The Lionesses are back in action this Sunday against Denham United. Kick-off at St Paul’s in Rotherhithe is 2pm.
